This is my Wood Mouse. I realised something was living in the shed earlier this year. At first a rat was expected but I eventually managed to get a decent picture and it was a Wood Mouse. There is a pair and I have seen 1 baby this year. They like getting into my mini plastic shed that contains my birdfood. Fortunately the food is in large plastic covered containers. The mice don't realise that they are visiting a food store that would last them years.
Mrs Hog and a larger male. Mrs Hog is on the left. The male was trying to court her but she was not having any of it. She makes this strange huffing noise and walks around always facing the male.
My first hoglet. It was only seen in the garden for one evening. Unfortunately the mortality rate for young hedgehogs is high especially on roads.
